Cycling Australia partners with MS to make a real difference to the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis
Cycling Australia (CA) and Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MS) are excited to announce a partnership for the MS National Gran Fondo as part of the 2019 FedUni RoadNats on Saturday 5 January 2019.
MS offers vital support and services for people living with multiple sclerosis while the search for a cure continues.
As the official charity partner of the MS National Fondo, together with CA, MS will be supporting all riders to fundraise and make a real difference to the lives of people who live with the challenging symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
“We are thrilled to be working with a fantastic organisation like MS. We have supported a number of MS events over the years and we’re really pleased to be partnering with them for this event,” said Cycling Australia CEO Steve Drake.
He added, “I can’t wait to line up at the start line and help raise awareness and much-needed funds for MS”.
MS acting CEO Sandra Walker was also excited about the partnership.
“MS is excited to partner with Cycling Australia as the official charity partner of the MS National Gran Fondo as part of the 2019 FedUni RoadNats. Our mission is to ensure no one has to face MS alone. It's only through support such as this, that we can continue to give people with multiple sclerosis access to the care and support they need to help them maintain their independence and fight this cruel disease.”
Seven-time world champion, triple Paralympic gold medalist and member of the Australian Cycling Team, Carol Cooke is excited by the partnership.
“As someone living with MS, I think it’s fantastic that CA and MS have partnered. MS is such a hidden disease and it’s great that we can educate people about it. It's good to know that people will be fundraising to assist in helping to find a cure and assist those living with MS.”
