The Federation University Road National Championships isn’t just for the pros. The Gran Fondo races and community rides are your chance to roll the legs over and get amongst the action. Whether you are hoping to conquer Mt Buninyong and qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo Championships or prefer to take it easy in one of the community rides, there is something for every level.

For the first time at the Federation University Road National Championships, you will have the opportunity to compete in the Gran Fondo Time Trial. This is your chance to race the clock and put your skills to the test.

Oliver's Community ride - Thursday 4 february
Start time – 8:00am
Ride with Oliver’s Real Food Racing on a FREE morning bunch ride. Followed by the Team Support Car, you will head out around the Buninyong loop before heading to Oliver’s cafe to refuel and have a chat with the team. The ride is capped at 50 riders, sign up to avoid missing out.

ROAD AND MTB
COFFEE RIDE
COFFEE Ride - FRIDAY 5 february
Start time – 6:30am
Sneak a ride in before the Friday Criteriums on Sturt st with the coffee ride. There is a bunch ride for road cyclists and MTB cyclist on the cards.
Both groups will head off from the Red Lion Hotel, cruise around before coming back into town for a great $10 Breaky deal at the Red Lion Hotel. Numbers are capped at 50 per bunch, sign up to avoid missing out.

Road race - saturday 6 february
Start time – 5:15pm
Experience the iconic Buninyong circuit ahead of the elite riders. Enjoy closed roads and tackle the gruelling Mt Buninyong climb. This year you’ll have the chance to qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo Championships.
